FLiP - Financial Literacy Programme

Today we learnt more about borrowing and leading. We did some different scenarios and had to come up with how they might turn out. Were they responsible borrowers? Trustworthy = responsible borrowers. 

Who would you lend your special thing to?  Is that the same for banks?

Duffy Theatre

Duffy Theatre come to school. We learnt about looking after our environment which follows on from the message given from "Eco Hero" who came last term. Also our school goal for this term is "Respect for our environment".

PWC FLiP - Financial Literacy Programme

We are fortunate to have PWC (Price Waterhouse Cooper) come to our class for a financial literacy programme called FLiP. We had the first session today and learnt about MONEY. In particular, how to save money and how to reduce expenses. Also a little bit about Kiwi Saver.

Assembly

Congratulations to Dawn and Jazahra for helping their younger buddy presenting assembly. You were great role models and support for them.

Matariki Celebration

We celebrated Matariki by inviting our community to see our Kapa Haka group perform and also display some of the work that we have been doing. It was a fantastic evening with great support from the whanau of our tamariki.

The last 2 days of swimming lessons have been about survival skills. 

It is important to know what to do in the water.

We have started swimming lessons. This is a very important part of the Physical Education programme and we are lucky to have DASH swim school instructors to take the lessons.
