The Importance Of A Topic Sentence

Week 10 saw Team Respect learning about the importance of a topic sentence to let the reader know what they will read about in the following paragraph.

This group has been gathering information together on weaving by reading several texts.  They became interested in which materials are best for weaving.  Māori use harakeke to weave many things. Below you will see an example written by Mya.

Following Instructions

Last week Team Respect wrote some instructions on how to make a box by weaving paper.

They have asked Team Support and The Achievers to read through and follow their instructions to see if they did a good enough job.

Let's see how they got on.....

Cutting out the strips.....

Some students shared their instructions on their blog.

Weaving away...

Boys showing how it's done....
