Olympic Discovery Time....

In Room 10 we are beginning our journey into the exciting arena of 'Excellence in Sport' with the upcoming Rio Olympics only days away.

During this term our general class focus we will be around:

  1.  International sporting events can bring communities together.
  2.  Rules and laws affect sporting events.
  3.  People from different cultures have the same sporting aims.

Students will also be given the opportunity to follow their own interests and nearly all have identified 3 key areas using this as a guide:

This afternoon we began diving into different websites that shared information about the Olympics.  It was fun to see them so excited and sharing their thoughts with each other.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on our class blog. I have passed on your comments to Grace about her digital photography and she was very happy to have the feedback.

We are really impressed by the Olympics Matrix with all of your ideas. We are going to use some of it with our class and maybe some of the other classes at our school (as long as that is alright of course!) I really like how there's a whole lot of different areas that students could compare and look at.

You are most welcome to use the Olympic Matrix. It's great to share ideas with each other.

      Have a lovely day.
